An offtake contract is a type of agreement between a supplier and a buyer, in which the supplier agrees to provide a certain amount of goods or commodities to the buyer at a specified price. Here is an example of an offtake contract for farming commodities.
Buyers pay into the GroSpace escrow account in advance to secure a future supply of goods. These funds are held in a secure account and can be used as collateral to raise capital to start a farming activity such as building a chicken farm and placing livestock. These funds are used to secure a supply contract between the buyer and the supplier. GroSpace facilitates this interaction at arms length to ensure a smooth transaction. GroSpace also manages the details of the supply contract and will impose relevant and documented penalties should any activity breach contract. The funds in escrow can not be used for any activity other than for the production or purchase of goods. A buyer can also invest into the infrastructure to initiate a new farming activity. This means that a buyer may invest into buying the equipment and pay towards the infrastructure to expedite the process of searching for capital in the open market. The land is owned by GroProp and the infrastructure will be leased to the farmer so this will be a savvy investment for any investor.
